£100 for your school for 60 minutes of your time

We are looking for headteachers from primary and secondary schools in England to join a 60 minute virtual meeting to be part of our research, along with a member of their SLT. When you attend, we will send £100 for your school for your time. Our aim is to:

  • gather data from schools who do not currently use Lyfta, for a national study on how schools are embedding vital strands from OFSTED’s framework
  • run a short demo of Lyfta, and present the impact it is having in schools across the country.

The study has been designed by Dr Harriet Marshall, Lyfta's Head of Education.

FAQ

More information...

What are the focus areas of the study?

Our study, like our work, is focused on:

  • Cultural Capital
  • Diversity and Equality
  • Sustainability & Global Citizenship Education
  • Character Education
  • Social Emotional Learning

Our aim is to gather data from a sample of schools that represent a variety of contexts, including phase, size and geography.

Who needs to attend from our school?

It is important that the headteacher and at least one member of SLT participate in the meeting together.

What is the agenda for the 60-minute meeting?

The meeting is divided into four parts as follows:

  1. Survey Questions - we will ask you a series of questions on how your school approaches parts of the OFSTED framework and note down your answers. Some of the questions will be qualitative, some will be multiple choice and quantitative.
  2. Academic Research - we will present research in relevant areas, including studies from LSE, UCL, Harvard and Tampere University.
  3. Lyfta Presentation - we will introduce the Lyfta platform and describe its impact in schools across the UK. We'll then explore a storyworld with you to demonstrate how Lyfta can support you with your school's priorities.
  4. Questions and Answers - this will be the chance for you to ask any questions you have and for us to inform you of the next steps.

Why are you paying for this?

We know how valuable your time is for your students, team and community. We are delighted that our impact funders and board have green lit our proposal to make a contribution to the school for your participation.

How do I receive the payment?

At the end of the meeting, we will arrange for £100 to be transferred to your school.

What can I spend the money on?

You can spend the money on anything you feel is valuable for your school. We know that some leaders will be using it to contribute to breakfast clubs, others will be putting it into the resources budget.
